How often have you been building back-links using a “free web directory” list, only to find that a third of them are now paid or have closed up shop ?

Here is a list of free web directories which is clean.

There are only 100+ free directory but the list is re-checked every week. Directories are only listed after they have been indexed for 4 months.

The site also contains a “strongest directory list”. these are sites which are highly regarded by search engines. If the keyword you are trying to rank for is in any-way competitive, I know from experience that submitting to these will help a lot.
