1,000,000 Links
How would you like 1,000,000 links pointing to your website ? Well I found a site today (thanks Super_mom_in_ny) which has the potential to do just that.
Here’s how it works:
- Go to this site 1000000 Links and grab the linking code.
- Place the linking code on your site, then click it
- You will be transported to the 1000000 Links site. Your visit is registered and there will be a link back to your site in the right hand panel.
1000000links.com then keeps a track of the incoming and outgoing traffic on your link at their site. You can check it at any time.
There are also lists of the:
- Links Alphabetically
- Newest Links
- Oldest Links First
- Links by Popularity
- Best friends
As long as you keep your link active and pointing to the site they will do the same for you. Because there are multiple lists of links you effectively have a number of back-links from their site.
At the time of writing the site is reporting just under 2,000 live links, although Yahoo reports about 15,000. The Alexa rating is 330,586 and has been growing since just before Christmas, but was pretty low way back to December 2005.
Google is a frequent visitor, you can see it show up in the live list of links quite regularly.
