I have been a member of Technorati for some time. I often use it to track who is linking to this blog, to find other blogs in a similar niche, to get a view of what searches are popular at any given time and just for general research. This is one of those sites I’ve grown to like a lot. I guess Google would call it an authority site.

Among other things, Technorati “ranks” each blog by incoming links and by how many times the blog has been “favorited”.
