Blog Disclosure Policy
A blog disclosure policy is becoming a must as blogging matures into a more professional environment. The same applies for ordinary websites too.
Both from an ethical and to some extent a legal viewpoint, a short statement which discloses any potential influences on your writing is required.
If you have ever wanted to add a Disclosure Policy to your blog but didn’t have the time to write one, there is a site which does all the hard work for you.
DisclosurePolicy.org takes you through a short series of questions then supplies a policy which can be cut and paste into your site.
A link to your policy should be placed either at the bottom of your web page or in a sidebar, where your readers can easily find it.

Hi there, i added you to my technorati favorites. Thanks for the add.
I’ve just started looking into writing sponsored posts, and actually wrote my own disclosure policy.
The fact that there’s already a site that helps you do exactly that reveals just how fast the sponsored blogging phenomenon is growing.
I have been finding a lot of sites that obviously write posts prompted by sponsorship from paypperpost.com and similar companies.
I think it really detracts from a lot of blogs unless done exceptionally well, and yes I most certainly think such posts need to have some sort of disclaimer.
