Google Adsense is a very profitable program but there are times when its worthwhile to explore an Adsense Alternative or two.
Having seen a number of posts in forums about Adsense alternatives, I decided build a list of programs to evaluate.
All following is a list of programs which can be used in place of AdSense. Some are pay per click, some pay per action, some pay per impression (CPM) and still others are pay per lead. I’ve included a snippet from each site to provide some background to their offering.

About a year ago I went looking for my next online project. I was looking for a web based income stream with the following characteristics:
- Had the potential to generate a significant income
- It had the ability to build a very big site.
- It would allow me to generate lots of good quality back-links
- Would build back-links to itself
- Was content based (Google clearly favours content)
- Other people would be able to contribute to the website
- It would give me some insight into what others were promoting across a broad range of markets
- Would be suitable for AdSense
- Was a good fit to a number of other sites I ran

Many websites have Adsense advertising on them. Its very popular, and for good reason.
The ads are relevant and when fed with the right traffic and the right ad placement, will produce a steady income.
