DoFollow Forums
Theres been a lot written about dofollow blogs. This post is about dofollow forums. That is forums which don’t have nofollow in their signature links.
I saw an interesting post at Digital Point today about dofollow forums which provided inspiration for this post.
Making posts in forums is a good way of promoting a site.
Most forums allow you to post links in your signature (a little box after every one of your posts, where you can put a message of your choosing). Usually people put links back to their site so if readers are interested they can easily check out the writers other material.
Some forums have quite good page rank, so when you participate in the forums you not only get a little bit of free advertising but also a little page rank.
The usual rules apply. Don’t spam – make a relevant, on topic post that genuinely adds value to the discussion.

Forums which have do follow attribute is doing a service to its members who take the time and effort to participate on forum discussions and post on them. Do follow is indeed a sweet reward to the members wishing a little boost on their blogs’ SEO.
I think the key there is that you dont spam them. The forum owners will be a lot more tolerant of useful info than they would if you just spam them.
Thank you for bringing this up. However, I think the value of a link from a relevant forum is more valuable than the do follow/no follow attribute as more often than not, targeted forum members will often click through to check out who this poster is or what he stands behind. I noticed great traffic when I left informative posts in a relevant forum thread. The key is to be relevant and leave good advice and traffic will come through from your forum sig – no follow or not.
This is a great list. I saw the lower half that you mentioned before, but unless you have soemthing related, it is not wise to just try to get a link for not participating. At least thats how I have always looked at it. If you offer something of value and a blog or a forum is do follow then I feel like it should be allowed to use any name you want. Otheres feel differently I guess, but what does it matter if my name is buck or low cost car insurance? The comment still was the same, and that is what is important. Offering content for people with blogs.
Do-Follow Forums can be a very good resource to you unlike do-follow blogs because you become more of a presence in a forum then in a blog. And people will tie what they read with your site maybe even making it easier to get a link from their site.
Thank you very much for the list.
This is a list of some great forums! Ernesto is right, these forums are doing a great service by allowing those that participate the opportunity to get a link back to their website.
Of course I am sure there are those who login and spam the threads as with anything else. Hopefully these forums have some great anti-spam tools such as the ones in Wordpress to keep the levels down for them.
If you post good, helpful, informative content, whether on a dofollow or nofollow forum, you *will* get traffic as readers visit your site expecting more quality info from you.
I agree, readers will patronize blogs and forum sites with good and informative contents. Dofollow or nofollow tags doesn’t matter.
I like to go to do follow forums. A little “link juice” goes a long way. Then again, the no follow forums are still great for getting traffic. Just don’t spam!
I believe dofollow it extemely helpful. It gives us a way to obtain a backlink and support each others blogs. Its a way that both parties gain in this situation. As long as its not spam its cool. We want to add value to each others sites.
That’s a great list.
Aside from the SEO benefits, you could also draw traffic directly to your sites via your signatures so long as you participate constructively and be helpful to others.
The most important is to be helpful, informative and not spamming. You will get traffic from either dofollow or nofollow links. Dofollow is however an important reward to the members, and will help make your forum successfull.
http://www.affiliateseeking.com/forums is another forum that has dofollow for all sig links.
Infact I think many forums use it still, but not 100% sure.
I have a Home Business Forum and i have DO follow enabled. it has a free For Sale section for members so they can go to ebay, buy PLR and sell it at Yoebo.com for free.
If someone would be kind enough to post a list of link to great forum that’d be great

thanks for the info. I was really searching for those. I searched google and found this site. Really nice
thats quite a good compilation of dofollow forums. thanks for the post.
Thanks for compiling this list of forums. These are great sources of links for webmasters and some of them are great sources of info also.
The problem with many “dofollow” forums is they end up getting flooded with useless conversations that offer little value but consist merely of people wanting to create backinks. Digital Point is getting a little like that with endless streams of “me too” or “good post” responses in threads.
Thanks for the great list!
