Free SEO Website Check
How to get a free SEO website check.
Now and again its a good idea to check your site to make sure its not going to frighten off the search engines.
I use these tools once a month or so. I also use them when my traffic is dropping off and I don’t understand why, just to ensure its not an on-site or link-age issue.
Here’s the list:
This online checker looks at your page from a broader SEO perspective. It uses a combination of Google page rank, Web Structure, Domain Info, Heading Summary (<h> tags), Image Summary, Google Indexed Pages, Google crawl date, Inbound links, Technorati rating, del.icio.us bookmarks, readability level and search engine rankings for keywords.
From these it gives your site a rating out of 100.
In return for a free registration it will also compare your site to those of a few of your competitors.
A good all round first check.

Wow, websitegrader. I didn’t know about it, but I’ll be sure to check it out. There are a lot of SEO problems on my site. :(
Thanks!
I took one of these links and will use it wisely! Have you had a chance to review my site yet? Hope all is well!
I had never seen Website Grader before. It’s a pretty good resource. Thanks for pointing it out!
Jackie, i think as you said, Grader is really interesting!
That’s a useful tool. I actually used to to check on some competition I have with another blog of mine. Just type in the site name you want to check, your or theirs ;)
Don
Cool stuff.
Especially website grader is very useful and that’s the one I didn’t know about yet
I downloaded SEO for Firefox not too long ago and this tool rocks! Should have done it long ago, but I am making up for lost time right now.
Great post. I use the “SEO Quake” Addon for Firefox. It automatically brings up loads of site seo-useful info when you perform a Google search.
I like Website Grader. Thanks for sharing friend.
Thanks for this nice list of tools. There are some optimization tricks I still need to learn to use. I just found out recently, for example, that the length of registration of a domain makes a difference for Google and probably other search engines.
