One of the keys to success on the internet or in any bricks and mortar business is to get your cash-flow right. By right, I mean make sure income is higher than expenses from the first month.

So when you start an internet business and irrespective of your means, work on the basis you have little money.

There is a good reason to start this way. It prevents you buying a program here, an ebook there and pretty soon you will have “invested” a couple of hundred or even a thousand dollars. The problem is, there will be no certainty that there will be return on this investment. (And if your like me when I started, there won’t be any return !)

Its very important that you are disciplined enough to use only profits to grow the online business, not your hard earned cash from the day job.

Irrespective of what you do on the internet, at its heart will be content. If it’s writing ads or building your own website, content will be the foundation.

And guess what, if you write it yourself, the content is free. Just takes time and effort to research, write, polish and publish.

Almost every internet marketer has at some stage or other paid someone else to prepare content for them. As your business develops and you see more and more good money making opportunities, you will have the cash flow to pay someone to write content for you. Once established this is a good option to speed up development.

This in turn creates a caste iron, bullet proof, fail safe way of funding your startup internet business for nothing. You write content for other people.

And if your thinking you need a degree to be paid to write, you would be wrong. A reasonable grasp of the English language and the ability to find information on Google and you are in business.

To get an idea of the level of writing required, check-out this article directory and look at some of the articles in there. A good number of these have been written for the “author”.

Here is a list of content related jobs that anyone with a reasonable grasp of English can do:

  • Article Writing
  • Blog Posting
  • Forum posting

Here a few places to find writing jobs:

  • Digital Point Forums: Has a range of assignments covering article writing, forum posting and many more.
  • Problogger.net: Check out the job boards on this site.
  • Associated Content: Pays for your content. Regular list of good paying assignments.
  • Elance: One of the top sites for finding writing jobs. If your starting out, suggest looking in the web content section
  • EasyWritingBiz.com: For $39.97 these folks provide step by step instructions about where to go and how to make the most from your writing ability. You should recover your money in the first month.

This start-up route requires a bit of hard work. That is also true of anything else you will try to make money online.

The advantage of this approach is that it is low risk (Doesn’t jeopardise earnings from other areas) and it’s one that anyone can be successful with.
