Make Money With Squidoo
Squidoo is a content website where subscribers create one page “lenses” about any topic they choose.
You can make money with Squidoo and if you stick at it the rewards can be quite good.
The beauty of this site is that it has good traffic and an active, supportive community and the pages are frequently spidered by search engine.
There was a time when Goggle appeared to downgrade search engine listings for lenses however that seems to be reducing now, so if you have an old lense there it might be a good time to dust it off.
So how do people make money on squidoo ?
Well you just go to the site, register then follow the instructions for creating your content.
Registration is free and there are a number of plugins for affiliate programs built into the squidoo system.
You can then promote your lens like any other webpage and if it gets a good ranking from the community it will attract a fair amount of traffic from the Squidoo community iteslf.
There is also at least one place where you can have a lens built profressionally built for you.
Potential earnings are difficult to determine however see the first three links below which will give an idea of potential. If your very good, $1000 per day is achievable.

There is a wealth of help material on the site and a quick Google will find many very useful sites which share their Squidoo knowledge.
This is one very good way to make a start with internet marketing if you wish to build an affiliate based business.

You know, I’ve heard of Squidoo, and read about it, but I never thought to try to make money with it. It always seemed to be more a secondary site for me. Maybe I’ll check this out. :)
Sounds good but those revenues in this ad environment seem pretty difficult for anyone to achieve.
Earning $1000 a day through Squidoo would be a very nice income! Squidoo is also an excellent place to obtain high quality links… just create a few lenses, promote them, and often they’ll quickly obtain high PageRanks.
squidoo is a good site to do business,,but it needs great hard work to bring traffic towards your lenses.
Squidoo is an excellent tool. However, the key is to really make your page stand out. It takes time and effort to see results with this!

Honestly, this thing of creating one page lenses about a topic takes the cake ! I know it’s also all about point of view. Anyway, I don’t see great future in loosing time with that kind of community like Squidoo. I’m not sure if it’s something greatly appreciated by Google.
I did some lenses back in the day, however that was before I knew much (or anything) about web promotion. Perhaps I’ll re-visit it now that I know more about traffic generation and have a good idea of how to drive more popularity.

I am not really sure about squidoo; I have tried my hands at it, I am not a bad content creator, but it’s not easy to make money ‘from’ the lenses. I can only get some traffic that I also got from normal article directories.
For me squidoo is just another (though better) article directory requiring unique content (much like ezinearticles). Overall, I think squidoo is hyped :)

I personally hate squidoo but it is definitely a good way of generating interest in what you are doing from what I hear. Like Custom Software Development said, it takes a lot of work to make it work I guess.
I have a decent Squidoo lense about employment topics, but I never gave serious thoughts about monetizing it. The reason is this – Squidoo will split the ad revenue with you and keep a big share. Instead, if you build your own site (which wouldn’t cost much anyway) you can keep all the profits.
Additionally, you are limited to Sqidoo plugins and cannot customize beyond a point.
Apparent advantage with Sqidoo is of course the visibility to search engines and it does a decent job drawing visitors. But, If you make a decent effort to market your site, you can keep all the profits.

Squidoo can be used to bring back traffic to a website but I have also notice something else. I have found some very very good articles and reviews on products with a nice little affiliate link to go with it. If the link is clicked and converted into a sale or lead, the person that had posted the Squidoo lens makes a little earner from it. So as well as bringing traffic back to your site, it can also be used to directly earn money.
squidoo has its positives and negatives. At best I guess squidoo should be used to drive traffic to yourself. Like “FILE”mentioned up there that if one builds one’s own site it makes more sense.
However besides the part of ad revenue, as a composite model to get traffic and also some petty sales squidoo could be quite handy
I started using Squidoo a few months back. It is quite easy to use and creating a lense is quick and can be done in a few minutes. I have created 3 lenses so far and my main purpose is to first improve teir page rank and hopefully use it to generate viewer-ship. I have received some readers so far with minimal effort. However like with any other blog or web page, some commitment is required if you want to make the full use of Suidoo. All in all I find squidoo pags to be indexed quite easily by search engines. However some link building will be required for your Squidoo lense before yu can to achieve a first page rank.

I have used Squidoo previously and my personal opinion is that it is not very effective. Yes to some extent this depends on the niches you are targeting and the quality of your content but I would rather invest the time in my blog as i feel the rewards that can be earnt from this far outwiegh the small amount of revenue you can get from a Squidoo lens.
