Picky Domains – Pick Domain Name
Picky Domains is a service I wish I had known about when I first wanted to pick domain name.
The concept is simple. You first send them $50 and information about the type of site, keywords etc. They then forward your notes to their contributors, who then suggest names for your site.
If you pick one of the selected names then they keep the $50. If not your $50 is refunded.
But wait theres more………
As a contributor, if your domain is selected by the client you pocket $25. If the domain isn’t selected by the client but Picky Domains think it has commercial appeal, they will register and sell it – giving you one third of the listed price.
If you have a talent for picking popular and memorable domain names then you could make some easy money. Joining as a contributor is free.
Even better, as a blogger, if you write a post about Picky Domains, you get one free use of their service :-)

Thanks for the link, I always have problems when it comes to choosing the right domain name. At first I thought that the prices on the site were too expensive. After taking a risk to find the name for my next big project they sent me back an extensive list with many different options of domains that were free to register. I needed various names that linked to each other somehow, to make a network of link bidding directories. They came up with one of their ideas as www.ibid.com (for example: http://www.ibidblue.com/). I was really happy that they were able to come up with such a great idea. To me this service was worth the price and I would recommend for everyone to use this service if they don’t mind the fee.
PickME! Names is similar but somewhat different because they name books, movies, music, and other products – but they pay bloggers $40.00 for any names they come up with and are used by a client. Check’em out at http://www.pickmenames.com.
